Medical service

Medical services for different client groups during the 16th FINA World Masters Championships (hereinafter referred to as the Championships)  include:

• medical services for participants, guests and spectators at all sports venues;
• medical services at the FINA Water World Park, including the Opening and Closing Сeremonies of the Masters Championships;
• specialised medical care, including high-tech medical care at Championships hospitals (the list of these hospitals is provided below).

Medical services at the sports venues

Medical services at Championships competition and training venues will be provided by mobile medical teams at the medical stations equipped with necessary medical equipment and supplies, bandaging material and medications.

An ambulance team will be available at each sports venue.

FINA Water World Park

Medical assistance at the FINA Water World Park will be provided at a medical station; an ambulance team will be available there as well.

Medical Centre at the Athletes’ Village

Medical services in the Athletes’ Village are provided 24/7 by the ambulance team and healthcare workers of the medical centre. There will also be a pharmacy available in the medical centre.

The medical centre is located next to the Main International Centre (MIC) in the Athletes’ Village. During the Masters Championships, medical assistance at the medical centre will be provided to all accredited client groups.

The following services will be provided from 7:00 to 23:00 on a day-to-day basis:

• consultations of specialists in  traumatology and orthopaedics, surgery, urinology, gynaecology, otorhinolaryngology, ophthalmology, therapy, cardiology, neurology, infectious diseases, dentistry, exercise therapy and sports medicine;
• laboratory diagnosis, functional diagnosis, ultrasound diagnosis, radiology (X-ray), endoscopy;
• physiotherapy.

Emergency medical assistance will be provided from 23:00 till 7:00 on a day-to-day basis.
